🌵 What is Tabernas Western?

Tabernas Western is a fast-paced card and strategy game that pays tribute to the legendary Spaghetti Westerns filmed in the mythical Tabernas desert, in Almería (Spain). Get ready for a journey full of dust, lead, and marked cards. Your goal is to survive a ruthless 10-level path, sitting at the table against the fastest and most dangerous outlaws on the frontier. Show your cunning in every shootout, hoard the biggest loot, and fight your way to the end to become the absolute legend of the desert.



🔫 How to play? (Saloon Rules)

The game is fast, tactical, and unforgiving of mistakes. These are the golden rules you need to know before drawing your first card:

  • 1. Form your Trio: Your main goal is to build a 3-card combo from the same faction (blue-bordered Cowboys or red-bordered Apaches). A valid trio always needs: Character + Weapon + Ammo.
  • 2. Start the Shootout: Draw cards to improve your hand, and when you are ready, open fire by playing your trio on the table. Shooting first is a huge advantage! The player who initiates the attack always earns the right to one last counterattack turn if they are beaten.
  • 3. Beat the Attack: To survive a shootout, you must play a better trio than the one on the table. Within the same faction, the highest number wins. But beware! A different faction always overrides the current one. A low-value Cowboy trio can crush a very high-value Apache trio.
  • 4. The Perfect Shot: If luck smiles upon you and you manage to gather three cards with the SAME NUMBER, you will unleash a Perfect Shot. This attack is unstoppable: it destroys any normal trio (regardless of number or faction) and allows you to pull off a Tactical Heist, stealing cards directly from your rivals' loot. Don't forget to use the Wildcards to achieve this!
  • 5. Fill Your Bag: Whoever wins the shootout takes all the Characters played on the table into their loot bag (each is worth 1 victory point). When the deck runs out, the outlaw with the most points in their bag wins the game and advances to the next level!
